This is how Korean girl spends every friday night

Hello, today I want to share how I spend Friday night in Korea. We call Friday night '불금'(BulGum) meaning 'burning Friday night', it's like TGIF. I myself define 불금 that do not stay at home alone, just go out n have fun with friends haha

As you may or may not know, drinking alcohol culture is very common here, so we can't think of spending Friday night without 술(Sul, alcohol in korean). But don't get me wrong, it does not mean I drink till passing out, throwing myself on the street n puking up we just drink soju or beer or any other alcohol for helping us having more fun and enjoying the night.

So here is how I spent last three Fridays in Korea after came back from Singapore.

I met my friend n we headed to a small pub near to my place. My friend also just came back from Spain so we listened and talked about how each other's trip was. She even bought some presents for me from Spain, one of them was cooking sauce for Spanish fried rice, I was so touched but didn't know how to cook it so my friend said she would come to my place and cook it for me someday. So now I just keep it at home waiting for 'someday' haha

The next week was a special day, it was my whole family union day! It's my mother side family and since my family members live everywhere in Korea, it's not easy to meet each other often, so we all gather once a every year.

We first gathered in Seoul and had family dinner! We ate 삼겹살(SamGyubSal, grilled pork belly) and 오리고기(O-ri GoGi, grilled duck) and it was super super delicious! 삼겹살 is one of the most famous Korean foods and I hope you would try it with 쌈장(SSam Jang, Korean dipping sauce) someday in the future!

After that We all drove to Suwon to sleep at my aunt's house but it was 불금, My cousins, brother and I couldn't let Friday night go just like that!

We found a bowling centre right near to my aunt's house so we decided to play bowling. We made a bet on game cost. My brother and I were a team and so were my two cousins, in the middle of playing game my nail was broken and it was so hurt!! but I just kept playing it cos it was very fun and I didn't want to lose the bet.

So the result was.. me and my brother won! YAY
even I set my new record! 121 points! I know it is not that high score but I was still very happy hehe

After that we went to drink some beer and the guys wanted to play pool so we went to poll centre. Actually at this moment I was hell tired (it was almost 2am) but they insisted me to go together so I just followed them.

These three guys played pool very seriously, I was just sitting on couch cos can't play pool but it was still fun to watch!
So after finish 1 hour pool playing, we finally went back home.

Last week, my friend from my hometown visited me so I brought her to 삼청동. 삼청동 is very nice place and lots of thing to see but it was keep raining that day and the hills my friend wore were killing her so .. we just walked a bit and rested in cafe and spend time talking haha. nothing much did on this Friday but it was just nice enough to see my friend after a long time.

So.. this is how I usually spend 불금 in Korea, meeting friends or family and having fun with them!

How do you spend Friday night?

bye!
